Medical Physics and Technology (MFT) is looking for a hospital physicist with a focus on the diagnostic field (radiology/nuclear medicine). The position is located at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna, but depending on experience and independence, the main workplace may also be Nyköping Hospital or Kullbergska Hospital, Katrineholm.

About us

At MFT, hospital physicists work together with the region's other operations. We have a close collaboration with the radiology clinics and the nuclear medicine unit. Our operations are in constant development and include both clinical support, quality assurance, and method development. We work together to ensure high image quality and radiation-safe diagnostics. We offer a work environment with good collaboration, open communication, and the opportunity to influence and develop both the operations and your own skills.

Your tasks

As a hospital physicist, you have many varied tasks within the radiation safety area: radiation protection and quality assurance of equipment, clinical support and advice, method development and improvement work, and monitoring of radiation safety. The tasks are adapted based on your experience and competence. For those with many years of experience, there is an opportunity to join the radiation physics management function and/or radiation protection expert function.

Your qualifications

Requirements: License as a hospital physicist

Meritorious:

• Specialist registration certificate, particularly in radiology or nuclear medicine
• More than 5 years of experience as a hospital physicist in the radiology and/or nuclear medicine field
• Ability to work independently and drive development

We are looking for someone who wants to contribute with their expertise while also developing in their professional role. We place great importance on personal qualities such as independence, teamwork ability, and communication skills. You should be able to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

Employment form

Permanent full-time employment. A 6-month probationary period may apply. Placement in Eskilstuna, Nyköping, or Katrineholm according to agreement.
